Yetapa Tours
Our story

Born in Paraguay, Made for Explorers

Yetapa is the Guaraní word for the scissor-tailed flycatcher, a small bird with a spectacular tail that nests across Paraguay's grasslands. Like the bird, we are small, local and a little bit spectacular.

We started in 2018 with one van, two guides and a conviction: Paraguay is one of the most under-explored countries in South America and deserves tours that match its wild beauty. Today we run small-group journeys across five regions, work with rangers, biologists and indigenous communities, and put a share of every booking back into the reserves we visit.

What guides us

Small groups

Never more than 14 people, usually far fewer. Wildlife and conversation both need quiet.

Local first

Our guides grew up here. Lodges, drivers and cooks are local businesses.

Leave it wild

5% of every booking funds conservation projects in the reserves we visit.
